Today, CanBoat / NautiSavoir announced that Steven Bull will serve as National Ambassador. The Producer and Host of both Water Ways TV and, new-in-2024, Water Ways: Ontario has a deep connection with the boating world and, in particular, with regards to boating safety.

CanBoat / NautiSavoir National Managing Director Kelly Symons says, “Steven Bull, as the host of Water Ways TV, has consistently demonstrated a passion for boating and education that aligns perfectly with our mission. His dedication to promoting safe and enjoyable boating practices makes him an ideal National Ambassador for our organization. We are thrilled to have Steven on board to help spread our message and encourage more people to embrace the joys of boating, safely.”

Originally founded in 1938 by three members of the Windsor Yacht Club and growing into the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons/Escadrilles canadiennes de plaisance (CPS-ECP), the organization rebranded in May 2024. Under the new name, the organization remains an educational boating authority in Canada. Their courses include and are not limited to the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) and the Maritime Radio Course to obtain VHF Radio Certification. Its CanBoat.ca website offers the above certifications and links to its numerous other courses. These build from the basic courses required by law to more advanced material for boaters who would like to cross the ocean.

“The first thing my wife and I did after signing the papers on our first boat 11-years ago was to sign up for a Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons course,” said Steven Bull. “I am honoured to be named National Ambassador for the organization and am eager to help bring hew newly rebranded CanBoat / NautiSavoir to new levels. It’s only fun on the water if you return from the water!”

As Bull travels the country to shoot episodes for his shows, he will visit squadrons and capture member profiles and regional stories for CanBoat / NautiSavoir’s social media channels and the popular member magazine, “Port Hole”. In addition, he will serve as a media spokesperson and record a series of safety tips for both CanBoat / NautiSavoir’s website but also for inclusion on Water Ways TV – which was awarded “Best Media Contribution to Safety” at the 25th annual Canadian Safe Boating Awards.
