The longstanding company's new design offers premium quality and engineering at a competitive price point.
Fresh off celebrating their 150th anniversary at the Miami International Boat Show where they unveiled their 150th Anniversary Edition Launch 27, one of the longest-standing companies in boating continues to press forward.
Today Chris-Craft announced its newest innovation -- the Sportster 25 -- mixing modern flair with classic Chris-Craft styling. The boat is competitively priced among its peer group, starting at a more modest $149,950 USD.
The news comes on the heels the company's announcement that due to high demand they would be increasing production capacity by 50% in mid-2023.
Chris-Craft has also been expanding on several new fronts, including dabbling with electric propulsion with the similarly-sized Launch 25 GTe.
The new Sportster 25 will carry an LOA of 25' even (7.6 m) with a beam of 8'6" (2.4 m). She will have a dry weight of 5680 lbs (2576 kg) and a draught of 3'2" (1.0 m) with the engines down. The latest technology enhances the on-board experience for passengers with numerous features and options available to meet a range of tastes and lifestyles.
“The new Sportster 25 gracefully captures the uncompromising quality and craftsmanship Chris-Craft is known for with competitive value,” said Stephen Heese, president, Chris-Craft, in a press release. “We are proud to expand our portfolio with the addition of the Sportster 25 as we continue to innovate new designs focused on family fun and water sports.”
In a testament to Chris-Craft's continual ability to blend classic style with modern function the Sportster 25 carries a host of clever design features, including a sleek frameless windshield with Chris-Craft logo accents. An expanded gelcoat hull side color offering allows for individual personalization along with an array of custom paint colors. A vinyl-wrapped console surrounds the well-appointed helm with teak accents, and a custom-designed user interface gives the Sportster 25 its own unique functionality. A premium audio package includes custom JL Audio speaker grills exclusive to Chris-Craft. Dual reversible helm seats can be adjusted for the user to sit facing forward or aft. An expansive aft sun pad includes under-seat storage, and a full beam swim platform with a new pull-out swim step connects boaters to the water with ease.
Other notable features include a spacious bow area with deep backrests for comfort and safety, dual power ports, convenient cupholders, accent lighting, optional pull-out bow shower, an anchor locker, in-floor storage, and under seat storage. A new stainless-steel bow light features a quick-release flagpole system to fly the classic Chris-Craft pennant.
