Do You Need a Watch to Match Your Boat? Of Course You Do

Brabus is offering a bundle that includes a custom Axopar boat, a matching Mercedes SUV, and a slick Panerai watch to compliment your fleet

There's a couple caveats involved in this deal, but trust us it's worth it. The deal is as follows-- if you purchase the awesome 'bundle' of a 38-foot Axopar Brabus Marine Shadow 900 Stealth Green Signature Edition and a matching Mercedes-AMG SUV, you'll also receive a custom Italian-made Panerai diving watch.

Everyone loves a bulk discount. All for the cool price of $1.5 million.

All three items are exceedingly nice, not to mention fully customized, so if you're a fan of the marine, the automotive, and the luxury (and who isn't), let's take a look at the package:

The SUV is a custom-built Mercedes-AMG G63 X4 that's been completely overhauled by Brabus. If you're unfamiliar with the name, they're a German high-performance aftermarket tuning company that's been taking already impressive vehicles to the next level since 1977. They do incredible work.

They call the custom auto the Brabus 800 4x4, and it features a twin-turbo 4.0 liter V8 with 800 horsepower, a custom suspension and off-roading kit, all-terrain tires, 22" Monoblock HD wheels, carbon fiber interior accents, custom leatherwork, a top speed of 130 mph, and a 0-60 mph time in under 5 seconds.

Other custom perks include custom logos and carbon fiber accents including the grille, door handles, trim parts, and side strips. All painted in Stealth Green.

Then there's the boat. The Brabus Shadow 900 Stealth Green Signature Edition is based on the Axopar 37 Cross Cabin, but incorporates all matter of custom performance and aesthetic upgrades courtesy of Brabus.

The boat was first unveiled at Boot in Düsseldorf, Germany earlier this year and Brabus calls it "the striking embodiment of uncompromising marine high-performance and modern outdoor lifestyle." No argument there.

The next-level boat features the Brabus "1-Second-Wow" design scheme, which involves the Brabus Stealth Green paint scheme with matching graphics, high-grade carbon elements from bow to stern, contrasting matte black detail work, and a Brabus “Sunrise” upholstery color that matches the Mercedes-AMG.

The boat is powered by twin Mercury Marine 450R 4.6-liter V8 four stroke racing engines with custom graphics producing a combined 900 horsepower. All that power gives the boat a stop speed just under 70 mph, which is mighty impressive considering the boat's 37'9" LOA (11.5 m) with a 11' beam (3.35 m) and a dry weight (excluding engine) of 8311 lbs (3770 kg).

Other high-end accoutrements include fingertip controls, backlit switches, touchscreen technology, and a multifunctional steering wheel that's incredibly futuristic. The helm includes a full HD Simrad dual touchscreen display known as a ‘Glass Helm Information Display.' The station also incorporates a custom BRABUS user-interface (with a digital version of the Panerai timepiece), G-shock monitoring, navigation controls, engine management controls, on board entertainment features, and driving-assist features.

You can even add an "Extended Navigation" package that includes two additional 9” screens, on-board connectivity for a 4G mobile WiFi router, a VHF unit with AIS receiver, a Halo20+ radar, and 5" touch display with digital light switching for the front lounge. There's also an option to add an "integrated infotainment unit" that comprises of a 42" flat-screen 4K TV and Apple TV connectivity.

Then there's the watch.

Dubbed the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition, the timepiece is a customizable dive watch built in collaboration with Italian watchmaker Panerai.

The watch features a host of the same style cues to match the boat and SUV, including a Stealth Green colour scheme and 'military-inspired styling.'

The watch itself charges using movement and features a '3 day power reserve' with an indicator for the power level on the back of the watchface. It's also water resistant to a depth of 300 metres (985 feet).

If you're watch aficionado, Panerai says the "47mm watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel to calculate immersion time and GMT function, while the one-piece, off-center oscillating weight permits bi-directional winding, whereby the two spring barrels efficiently wind the watch during wear. With its skeletonized structure—the bridges and plates have been winnowed to their barest elements to expose the workings of the movement—the watch is notably lightweight. In addition, the stop balance wheel and seconds reset devices enable the time to synchronize with a reference time signal."

It's important to look good while boating. It's even better if you can synchronize your boat with your vehicle and your fashion sense. Here's hoping more manufacturers jump onboard with matching accessories for loyal brand followers.
