Legendary brand Wellcraft has debuted their first model in a new center console lineup.
The all-new 38 T-Top was unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show. The longstanding company announced plans for a center console series in August 2024 before revealing the new platform to North American attendees last week. The hull was developed by renowned yacht designer Michael Peters.
Since 2022, Wellcraft has undergone a major overhaul that signified a new era in design and performance. The company's new aesthetic was first revealed with the Wellcraft 355 in early 2022, followed by a Fast Cruiser, and a new flagship Wellcraft 435 in late 2023.
The all-new 38 T-Top carries an LOA of 38'10" (11.85 m) with a 10'9" beam (3.27 m).
Built as a capable offshore performer with serious attention paid to entertainment, the aft cockpit lounge is the largest in its class. Two high-end fully equipped galley modules are available, both of which incorporate a grill and fridge. Versatile removable table configurations also provide the ability to adjust the layout as needed. For watersports enthusiasts and anglers, it also has a top-mounted tow point, dedicated fishing storage, rod holders, and a livewell.
The 38 T-Top will come standard with 700 horsepower on the transom, although various twin and triple outboard configurations from Mercury and Yamaha are available to allot for a max horsepower rating of 1050.
Top speed is expected to be around 50 knots (57 mph), with a cruising speed of 36 knots (41 mph), and a range of 183 nautical miles (338 km). She will have a fuel capacity of 266 gallons (1000 L).
A three-seater helm station allows for a team experience while underway, and twin 16" MFD screens offer a full complement of digital features and access. The 38 T-Top will also come standard with joystick piloting for low speed maneuvering, as well as a gyro stabilization system driven by lithium batteries for a quiet and stable ride.
Other perks include a wrap-around foredeck and comfortable C-shape seating for social gatherings. An innovative adjustable table comes standard that can be lowered at the touch of a button to complete a sun pad or it can integrate into the floor. The double-wide sun lounger also includes integrated cup holders, armrests, and handholds.
Below deck is a fully equipped cabin including a double berth, a large and separate head compartment, and a complete shower. Ambient lighting combined with a high-performance JL Audio sound system enhances the adventure from anywhere onboard.
