World-renowned Formula Boats is positioning themselves for a busy 2024 with the launch of two new center console models -- the 457 Center Console Sport and 457 Center Console Fish.
Both new models will receive their official announcement at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October, and will be available to view publicly for the first time at the Miami International Boat Show in February.
The announcement comes as Formula makes a re-entry into the center console market. After years focusing on their larger Super Sport Crossover models, they launched the all-new 387 CCF and 387 CCS models in 2022.
We reached out to Formula President Scott Porter, who told BoatBlurb: "Formula has received extraordinary validation of our entry into the Center Console arena with our 387 CCF and 387 CCS models. Their wonderful reception gave us the confidence to grow our Center Console line larger, and the 457 CCF and 457 CCS are taking form. They will be the most incredible center console creations Formula’s development team could present. We look forward to sharing our 457s with the world’s boaters.”
Alongside the endorsement from an industry icon, Formula's press package says the 457 "will again push the boundaries of design, engineering and construction in the offshore center console world, celebrating the finish and amenities of Formula’s renewed entry into the center console market."
Both new iterations of the 457 center console platform will carry an LOA of 45'7" with a 13'9" beam. They will be offered with triple Mercury Verado V12 600's on the transom.
Each new boat will be available with complete customization, a well-known and beloved service offered to Formula owners, and will cater to the upscale fishing and sport cruising market.
Features include a sculpted aft lounge and spacious swim platform, as well as foldaway aft seating and pressurized baitwells on the CCF. With either the Sport or Fish template, the 457 will also include a 22" monitor dash and air-conditioned three-position helm. Air conditioning can also be added to the second row of seating and the aft-facing seating for additional comfort. An entertainment-ready cockpit features a galley and bait station/wetbar depending on your needs. An elevated sun lounge up front with wraparound seating and a power-adjustable table provides even more social space.
Below deck, users will enjoy 6'6" of headroom and a complete galley with microwave, fridge, sink, and abundant countertop and storage space. A U-shaped lounge with a table provides space for dining or entertaining while also converting into a two-person berth. A well-appointed and spacious head features a separate stand-up shower as well as full amenities.
