Four Winns has unveiled its first catamaran -- the all-new TH36.

The model is still considered a prototype, but was unveiled at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival. It will mark a noticeable departure from Four Winns' typical lineup consisting of bowriders, hybrids, and surf boats.

In a company statement, Four Winns brand director Nicolas Harvey said, "From watersports to cruising, from lake to salt waters, we want every boater to enjoy the Four Winns refinement, and benefit from our new technologies."

Those new technologies include an entirely new hull shape for the 50-year old brand which includes a forward cockpit with seating for six, an open space deck with a full beam hard top, a co-pilot bench, and a full galley complete with a refrigerator, sink, and an optional cooktop with barbeque.

There will be no shortage of power either with the choice of either choice twin 300 hp or 350hp Mercury engines, or twin 300hp Yamaha engines, all of which include joystick controls.

Four Winns, based in Cadillac, Michigan, has a longstanding reputation for building sophisticated pleasure crafts. After successes with their new H-Series in 2022, Four Winns is now delving into powered catamarans, likely due in part to their ownership by the larger Groupe Beneteau, which itself has an impressive portfolio that includes the Beneteau brand itself, as well as Prestige Yachts, Jeanneau, Wellcraft, Scarab, Glastron, and more.

The new TH36 is part of Groupe Beneteau's larger plans to revamp its brands and enter new markets. The TH36 is a Marc Lombard design with a stepped hull, and the interior was done by Garroni Design who have done multiple interiors for Beneteau. It is believed a second smaller model is planned to further complement the TH36.

The new TH36 will mark the arrival of an exciting new cruising platform to the U.S. market and beyond. With a presumable 36-foot LOA (12 m) and roughly a 12.5-foot width (4.5 m) it will feature two full suites furnished with full size berths, storage cabinets, closets, privacy blinds, and a separate enclosed shower. Up top, the large sunbeds can be left open or closed to create a social area without risk from inclement weather.
