Last week Lund Boats announced the return of their iconic Fisherman series, and this week the momentum continues with the launch of the redesigned 2022 Renegade series.
The new Renegade will showcase a redesigned Mod-V hull for better big-water performance and stability, as well as two new aft jump seats -- an industry first in the Mod-V bass boat category. The Mod-V hull design is specifically geared toward bass, crappie, and musky fishing and features a sharper bow and flatter stern for a shallow draft and better high-speed performance.
The new Renegades will be available in three sizes -- 1775, 1875, and the all-new 1975. All three models will carry a 95" beam. Other new features for 2022 will include the industry's first four-seat cockpit design with the aforementioned aft jump seats. The new lineup will also include large bow and aft casting decks with water-resistant and gasketed storage underneath, individual rod and tackle storage lockers, a 28 gallon (106 litre) livewell, and a redesigned console with new electronics.
Power options will include Mercury Marine outboards ranging from 50-150 horsepower. Lund is owned by Brunswick Corporation, who also own the Mercury brand.
“The redesigned 2022 Renegade Series represents a groundbreaking design within the bass boat category, offering exclusive features designed to elevate the on-water experience,” said Dan Anonen, Product Manager, Lund Boats. “We sought feedback from customers, pros, dealers and partners and couldn’t be more excited to bring the all-new Renegade Series to the marketplace as an industry pioneer in the Mod-V category.”
