Malibu Unveils 2021 Wakesetter 23 LSV with New Video Walkthrough

The Malibu 23 LSV is the best-selling tow boat of all time and its designers clearly wasted no time in upping the ante for 2021. The iconic Wakesetter will see significant upgrades for 2021, as well as the mainstay of some traditional design features riders know and love. New for 2021 is a transom walk-over, billet accents, a customized Wet Sounds audio system, a totally redesigned interior, plus twice as many graphic and color choices than previous iterations.

“The 2021 23 LSV’s blend of luxury and enhanced performance along with cutting edge features and a bold new look make this the best yet,” said CEO Jack Springer. “We designed a boat that not only lives up to its predecessors as the best-selling towboat of all time, but will continue to advance that legacy due to its customer-centric design.”

As with previous versions, there are still two running surfaces to choose from. The Diamond Multi-Sport Hull is designed water skiing while still accommodating wakeboarders and surfers, while the Wake Plus Hull is shaped definitely for board sports. For 2021 the 23 LSV will be standard with a G5 tower with even lower-folding function to improve clearance, as well as Malibu Monsoon engine packages. Power options include the standard Malibu Monsoon M5Di™, as well as the optionally available Malibu Monsoon M6Di™ or the top-of-the-line Malibu Monsoon™ LT4 powered by GM Marine®. The Monsoon series engines are built in Malibu's own engine plant, and boast impressive direct injection tech, a quiet ride, and low emissions.

For added versatility the 23 LSV will offer the Multi-View Wake Bench™, a seating innovation that takes the stern wraparound lounge and converts it into a wake-facing seating area in seconds, allowing passengers to switch easily between cheering on surf sets to relaxing during a cruise.

At the helm, captains will be enjoy dual touch screens powered by the user-friendly mOS operating system and the Malibu Command Center™. Riders and captains will both benefit from the MaxBallast™ L-Shaped Tanks with eMLS High Flo Pumps, which are new for 2021. Quick fills times will result in less prep and more riding, and should a rider fall the optional Stern Turn™ rear thruster boosts the back of the boat in either direction for quicker pick-ups and tricky docking scenarios.
