Strong Client Demand Drives New High-Performance Luxury Yachts, Including the Flagship Palm Beach GT70
Palm Beach Motor Yachts has entered uncharted territory with the launch of the epic new flagship GT70 RS.
The company's luxury-laden GT RS Series, which also includes the GT50 RS, GT60 RS, and now the flagship GT70 RS, sets a new standard for the company. PBMY was purchased by Grand Banks Yachts Limited in 2014 and is led by Mark Richards, who serves as the company's CEO, chief designer, and major shareholder.
The GT70 RS will carry an LOA of 79' (24 m) with a 19'1" (5.83 m) beam. She'll have a fuel capacity of 1740 gallons (6600 L), with a 251 gallon (950 L) water tank and a 106 gallon (400 L) holding tank.
At the waterline, the GT70 RS will showcase impressive performance for its size thanks to Palm Beach Motor Yachts’ proprietary V-WARP TECHNOLOGY, pioneered by Richards, which features a fine entry, smooth curvature amidships, and minimal transom deadrise.
Each hull is built with a precise resin-to-E-Glass ratio with unidirectional and multi-axial fiber, resulting in a strong, efficient, and high-performance structure. The hull is also integrated with a carbon fiber framework, bulkheads, deck, and superstructure to enhance fuel efficiency and deliver class-leading performance.
The new design is is designed for high-performance cruising and will showcase double helm seats on both the port and starboard sides, an unobstructed line of sight through the massive single-piece windshield, and side opening windows.
She will be powered by triple 1000-horsepower Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines. The smaller sizes in the GS lineup offer outboard power, with the GT50 RS available in Quad V8 500-horsepower outboards and the GT60 RS available with Quad V12 600-horsepower outboards.
"We will never compromise on performance and a superior ride," said Richards in a press release. "Every boat we build demonstrates that these attributes can seamlessly coexist when the design and build process are executed flawlessly. That’s what inspires me every day."
Below deck, Richards and his team have designed the GT70 RS around three opulent staterooms, including a full-beam master suite amidships. The galley-down layout maximizes the salon’s lounging and dining areas, complemented by double helm seats on both the port and starboard sides. As with all their yachts, the GT70 is fully customizable to meet each owner’s preferences and lifestyle.
