Brunswick-owned brand Princecraft Boats has launched a redesigned Brio 2.0 series of electric pontoons with three new designs. The three new models will come in 17', 10', and 21' and will come be offered with three unique electric propulsion options.
Power options will come from electric engine manufacturer Torqeedo and will be available in Cruise 2.0 (2000W of power equivalent to 5-6 hp), Cruise 4.0 (4000W equivalent to 8-10 hp), and Cruise 10.0 (10KW of power with a 12kM boost equivalent to 20 hp.

According to Rodier Grondin, president of Princecraft, “The revamped Brio 2.0 Electric Series is consistent with our strategy to offer boaters more sustainable options without comprising comfort or luxuries of their on-water experience. Every detail of the new Brio 2.0 was built around our electric propulsion systems and we are already experiencing record demand for these new innovative models.”
Each of the three Cruise power options will include solar panels on the boat to provide continuous charging power.
The Brio pontoon series will also feature a redesigned shape for 2022. A low profile bow with a roto cast battery box will accommodate up to 4 Gr.21 batteries, 2 x 24V batteries, or a single 48V Torqeedo lithium battery. An additional battery bank is optionally available on all three models.
The redesigned shape is intended to improve weight alignment with the new electric battery power, and a lighter construction maximizes on-water power. Other highlights for the new 2022 models include new upholstery, a rotomoulded console, and a 6" wider platform to create additional entertainment and guest space.
