After teasing its launch since 2019, one of Europe's premier yacht builders, Princess Yachts, has finally unveiled a new flagship at an exclusive invite-only event.
The all-new Princess Y95 will serve as the flagship of their Y-Series and premiered at the historic Royal William Yard Marina at the company's shipyard in Plymouth, England.
The new Y95 is a raised pilothouse platform with an asymmetrical flybridge. She boasts an LOA of 93'9" with a 22'3" beam and a 6'5" draught. She packs a top speed of 22-24 knots (25-28 mph) with a substantial fuel capacity of 3040 gal (13,000 L).
Power comes via twin MAN V12-2000 engines carrying 2000 horsepower each with 24 L of displacement. MAN engines offer some of the most impressive data figures in the yacht industry, including their incredibly small size relative to their power, as well as an extremely high power density of 61 kW per litre of displacement.
According to the company, the Y95 is designed to “redefine the market for large flybridge motor yachts" under the tutelage of naval designer Bernard Olesinski and interior designer Pininfarina.
A smaller iteration, the Y85, came out in just September 2022 at the Cannes Yachting Festival to rave reviews.
The company will now offer the more robust Y95 as their flagship Y-Series boat with best-in-class interior space and capability for extensive customization.
2022 has been an immense year for the English builder. Along with two iterations of the Y-Series now late in 2022, the company also launched the X80 and V50 models in January of this year.
