Regal Boats is once again heading into tradeshow season with a full head of steam.
Last year, the Belle Isle, Florida boatbuilder wowed crowds at Fort Lauderdale with the launch of the massive 50 SAV. They also had to expand their headquarters in 2024 to meet consumer demand.
For 2025, the company will scale the length down but will add even more features to their popular Sports Activity platform with the launch of the 43 SAV.
The new model will carry an LOA of 43'6" with a 13'2" beam, 18 degrees of deadrise, and a 34.5" draught (drive up, 47.25" with drive down). She'll have a dry weight of 28,000 lbs (12,700 kg) and a fuel tank capable of carrying 498 gallons (1885 liters).
According to the launch page, "The all-new Regal 43 SAV brings the adventure, versatility, and luxury that you know and love from our SAV line. Equipped for a weekend where you speed to your favorite sandbar in the morning, then transform your boat into a luxurious space for a relaxing evening, effortlessly blending adventure with comfort for the perfect getaway."
The 43 SAV will feature Regal's OceanTrac2 hull design, the same template used on the larger 50 SAV. The well-known platform offers a smooth ride in offshore conditions while still enabling tight maneuvering in small bodies or water and while docking.
Power will via triple Yamaha XTO 450 Offshore outboards.
Other features that will carry over from the 50 SAV include double 22" intuitive Garmin displays, as well as Regal's clever 'Garmrest' that integrates a smaller digital screen into the armrests of the helm seats. The feature allows those seated in the captain or co-captain seats to make adjustments to nearly every feature on the boat without having to reach the primary dash or move elsewhere within the boat.
The helm station allows users to navigate their Garmin systems, audio, and digital switching. They can also adjust their RGBW lighting, extend the PowerShade, and access various tools with ease. The joystick, bow thruster, and wireless phone charger are positioned nearby for convenience. 'Companion screens' throughout the boat also give guests access to many of the boat's features without having to access the helm.
Another standout feature are duel drop-down terraces which massively expand the floorplan at the stern. Also found on the 50 SAV, the clever design feature creates an enlarged social space that comes in handy for fishing, socializing, and swimming. The drop-down terrace concept is growing in popularity and made the list of Four Tech Trends Primed to Change Boating in 2024.
Fishing features will likely carry over from the 50 SAV to include multiple rod holders spread throughout the boat. Other perks include deep drop outlets, outriggers, and a convertible transom with dual pressurized live wells.
Below deck is a full beam stateroom that features two beds that can easily be converted to a King size using an included filler cushion. Bedside storage allows for all gear to be stowed safely, while a TV allows for entertainment with family and friends.
