Relaunched Limestone Boats Announces 13 North American Dealers

By: Scott Way

Limestone Boats announced their official relaunch in September, and this week the iconic Canadian brand began making headway into the North American market.

Limestone has announced partnerships with 13 dealers across Canada and the northeast U.S, which will allow one of Canada's most recognizable brands to begin reestablishing market share throughout its original stomping grounds. A once common sight on inland waterways of the Canadian Great Lakes and the coastal Northeast U.S market for the last 35 years, the 13 new dealers consist of US locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Maine, and Maryland. On the Canadian side, products will be available at four Ontario dealers spanning the heart of Ontario boating country.

The list of dealers is as follows:

US Dealers

Oyster Harbors Marine (3 locations) Essex, CT; Osterville, MA; Danvers, MA

Sheltered Cove Marine Tuckerton, NJ

Hampton Watercraft (3 locations) Hampton Bays, NY (2); Eastport, NY

DiMillo’s Marina (2 locations) Portland, ME; Oxford, MD

Canadian Dealers

Beacon Marine and Desmasdon’s Boat Works Pointe au Baril, Ontario

Hucks Marine and Resort Rockport, Ontario

SWS Boatworks Port Carling, Ontario

According to Limestone CEO Scott Hanson, “(d)uring its history, the Limestone brand has experienced a loyal cult-like following in the Northeast, Great Lakes, and parts of Canada. As we set out to garner interest in representing our brand, we began our search of Class A dealers in these markets. We have been contacted by numerous interested parties since our brand re-launch announcement, and we’re honored by the excitement across the industry. This is just the beginning, as we are currently in discussions with additional dealers across the Southeast and Midwest.”

The initial product offering for 2021 and the following 2022 model year will be a nine model lineup ranging from 17’ to 29’, and will include runabouts, cuddy cabins, and center and dual console layouts. While Limestone boats have traditionally featured sterndrives, the new models will utilize outboard power from both Yamaha and Mercury. Models include the L-170DC & CC, L-200R & CC, L-250R, L-270CD, L-290CD, as well as the upcoming L-270DC and L-290DC.

From Oyster Harbors Marine VP of Sales Peter Maryott, “(o)ur dealerships have successfully represented the brand for over 30 years, but with the new plans and ownership of the company, we wanted to be one of the first in line to represent the Limestone brand moving forward. The revitalized line-up will serve customers well not only in our markets, but additional new markets as the brand expands its reach.”

“We’ll continue to see market expansion across North America because dealers are quickly recognizing the attributes of the brand’s heritage, as well as the infusion of modernity into the product line,” said Limestone Director of Sales David Tawaststjerna. “Timeless design, big water performance, quality, and functionality, with a recognizable, unique deep V hull and forward flair that provide a forgiving ride and an unmatched assurance of safety. All key features for a discerning audience.”

We interviewed new Limestone CEO Scott Hanson in September to get an inside look at their plans for 2021, which will include a focus on outboard power options and modernizing interior amenities to compliment the legendary Limestone hull designs.
