After first announcing the boat in August 2024, Finland's Saxdor Yachts will debut the highly anticipated 340 GTWA at the upcoming Palm Beach International Boat Show.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show runs March 19th-23rd in Florida.

The 340 GTWA is a unique walkaround cabin cruiser that will meld a hybrid design allowing for complete access around the hull while still maintaining the company's renowned European chic aesthetic. Saxdor manufactures its products in Elk, Poland but is based in Helsinki, Finland.

“The launch of the 340 GTWA in the U.S. is a great milestone for us,” said Erna Rusi, CEO of Saxdor Yachts, in a press release.

“With this model, we expand our fleet to eight models, offering a wide selection for American boaters to choose from. We believe the 340 GTWA will be a great match for a variety of needs, offering a combination of open and cabin boat experiences with fantastic performance, design, and value.”

Saxdor has moved quickly in the North American market. They announced a new flagship 460 GTC last year after a series of successes including the forward-thinking 320 GTO in 2021 and the incredibly adaptable 400 GTO.

The 340 GTWA will slot in the middle of Saxdor's lineup and will blend features of their GTO cabin cruisers with a new walkaround layout. The increasingly popular fold-down side terraces are another welcome addition and mark yet another builder adopting the new terrace trend to cruiser designs.

“The 340 GTWA is a significant addition to our lineup for the U.S. market. Its spacious layout, adaptability to various weather conditions, and premium features make it an excellent fit for American boaters, whether they are cruising in Florida, the Great Lakes, or along the Pacific coast. Palm Beach provides the ideal setting for its debut, and we look forward to offering visitors the opportunity to experience its unique qualities firsthand,” said Keith Miller, VP of North American Sales at Saxdor.

The new 340 GTWA has already won several awards at European boat shows since its launch and will likely add some U.S. trophies this spring. The Palm Beach International Boat Show is now one of North America's largest recreational boat shows and caters a significant portion of its floorplan to larger boats from cruisers to superyachts.

Other standout features include a spacious cockpit with side-opening bulwarks which create 40% more exterior space than Saxdor's previous designs. Two aft swimming platforms provide easy access to and from the stern, while fold-down terraces on both sides significantly expand the space for socializing.

The wheelhouse is accessed through two large sliding glass doors which offers weather protection and a clear separation between social and functional areas. Expansive glass windows and an oversized sunroof flood the main deck with natural light. Inside the cockpit, a standard dining area with a swivel seat allows for seamless transitions between socializing and travel.

The helm station is equipped with two 12" chartplotters and a three-person sofa for added comfort.

At the bow, the lounge area can be transformed into a solarium or picnic spot, offering seating for up to six people.

Below deck, the spacious cabin features a large forward double cabin with two double beds and a complete head. Additionally, an optional aft cabin, accessible by lifting the aft sofa, provides space for two more. Both cabins enjoy ample natural light through large windows, with the forward cabin benefiting from a roof hatch and a sizable side window.

Standard power is twin Mercury 200 horsepower outboards, although larger options are also available. She has a projected top speed of 50 knots with twin Mercury 300s.

Saxdor's new flagship, the 460 GTC, is set to premiere this September at the Cannes Yachting Festival in France.
