The highly anticipated 670 LXS has been in development since 2021 and will make its debut at the upcoming Palm Beach International Boat Show in March.

Scout Boats has unveiled the all-new 670 LXS at their facility during an exclusive VIP event. The boat will be the world's largest outboard powered yacht and Scout's new flagship. It will debut to the public at the Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 19-23, 2025.

The renowned South Carolina boatbuilder has been extremely busy since first announcing the 670 in 2021. They had to expand their manufacturing facility in Somerville in 2023 to accommodate the yacht's development through a $10 million investment. They also partnered with Honda Marine in 2024 to develop a line of boats, as well as partnering with Flux Marine to develop an electric center console.

Coming in at 66’ 9”, the 670 LXS will be the first in the 67 LX Series. The boat carries a beam of 16'2" with a 41" draft. The boat was designed in partnership with world renowned super yacht design studio Harrison Eidsgaard.

“We’ve experienced tremendous success over the years as we’ve continued to create and produce the most exciting, innovative, sophisticated, and high performing products sought on the market today, and that’s been most recently evident with the success of our current 530 LXF flagship,” said Scout CEO and Founder Steve Potts.

“We want to continue to raise the industry bar for class, comfort, and style and naturally we knew the next evolution for the Scout brand was the 670 LX Series. Our dedicated team of designers and engineers, coupled with our partnership with world-renown UK-based super yacht design studio Harrison Eidsgaard has worked tirelessly on this project, developing a product that is second to no other boat in its market and that is what sets it apart.”

The flagship series will encompass two unique models -- the 670 LXS (Luxury Sport Model) and the 670 LXF (Luxury Fish Model). The 67’ LX Series versions will be powered with quintuple Mercury V-12 600 HP engines producing 3,000 HP and a projected top speed of 60 MPH, a fast cruise of 40 MPH, and a range of approximately 500 miles.

The 670 will feature three state rooms below deck, three interior color options, multiple lounge areas throughout the boat, articulating rocket launchers with a SureShade, retractable port, starboard, and aft window, a retractable sunroof, and dual hydraulic beach platforms.

“We were thrilled when Scout Boats approached us on collaborating on this project.” said Peder Eidsgaard, one of the founders of Harrison Eidsgaard, the London-based design company who worked with Scout on both the exterior and interior design.

“It is the result of the synergy between Scout Boats’ vast experience in the sport fishing market combined with Harrison Eidsgaard’s experience in the superyacht design industry and drive to innovate. The design is a harmony of Scout Boats’ sport fish heritage injected with superyacht detailing and styling, with key features comprising of long flowing lines from bow to aft in combination with the signature aft leg that runs into the hardtop ‘pods’.”
