Fresh from another successful event in Miami, industry stalwarts Sea Ray Boats are prepping the public for the all-new SLX 280 OB.

Putting the new platform on display for the first time, consumers were given the chance to explore the redesigned layout and experience firsthand the new design language Sea Ray has adopted for the future. It also marks another forward-thinking venture for Sea Ray as they've allocated the boat a 2024 model, same as they did with the recently launched 2024 SPX 210.

“This year at MIBS, we’re presenting an exclusive experience for show attendees – the opportunity to be the first to see the brand-new SLX 280 Outboard,” said Keith Yunger, Sea Ray president, in a press release. “This boat is the latest evolution of Sea Ray’s next-generation sport boats."

The SLX 280 Outboard showcases the latest iteration of Sea Ray's new hull-side sculpting approach alongside the standout amenities consumers come to expect from the longstanding brand. A luxury-laden and ergonomic cockpit includes updated spaces with more room, improved seating, and improved storage. For 2023, a design seat package includes deeper seat depths and a plusher cushioning.

The U-shaped bow creates a spot for socializing with lounge-style seating, and the optional Power Tower provides sun coverage and easy-to-reach wakeboard racks. An optional cockpit table adds flexible storage or social capability, and an expanded sunpad offers waterside relaxation along with an integrated cooler and a compartment to stow inflatables and gear. There's enough room in the under-seat storage for a full-size lilly pad for family boaters.

Coinciding with the growing outboard power trend is a standard power configuration consisting of twin Mercury 250 hp Verado engines with Joystick Piloting. At the helm, captains will feel in control thanks to the redesigned Digital Dash featuring two Simrad touchscreen displays and a Fusion stereo. A host of luxury options and layout choices are also available to further enhance the boat's potential and user experience.
