Got $7 million burning a hole in your pocket?
It sounds like TB12 is in a transitional period of his life.
It's understandable. Brady has been in the public eye recently for a variety of reasons, one of which was sitting through one of the most vicious roasts in internet history, so maybe Tom decided it was time for some changes in his life.
Some of those changes included leaving his mansion in Tampa Bay after he retired from the NFL at the end of the 2022 season. Brady had a great run with the Bucs (which included rolling up to the Super Bowl party in his yacht), and that's to say nothing of his legendary career with the Pats.
Nevertheless, all good things must come to an end and it appears Brady is leaving the #BoatLife behind. Brady's well-known and beloved Wajer 77 yacht, namedTW12VE Angels, is currently listed for sale for just under $7 million with YachtWay. The boat is currently in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
The Wajer 77 is actually Brady's second boat from the premium Dutch builder. He first picked up a Wajer 55 in 2020, which he called Vida A Vida, when he first came to Tampa with the Bucs. After getting a taste of the #BoatLife, he quickly upgraded to the Wajer 77 in 2021.
“I enjoyed the waters of New England, but when we moved to Tampa, with its beautiful bay, I said to myself, ‘I need a boat,’" said Brady during a launch video for his 77.
"I love what (Wajer Managing Director) Dries Wajer is doing. When we first started working together, I was able to try-out a Wajer 38, then I got my Wajer 55S, and now I’m looking forward to continuing my ‘captainship’ on a Wajer 77."
Sports fans may recall seeing Brady's love for his boat in the Bucs Super Bowl parade when he tossed a perfect spiral to Gronk from the back of the boat. It turns out, the world's greatest quarterback is pretty good at whipping spirals off the stern deck -- just ask Mr. Beast.
According to the Yacht Way listing, potential buyers can "discover unparalleled comfort and performance with this stunning Wajer 77, now available for sale. This exceptional yacht, previously owned by legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, combines sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and supreme comfort for the ultimate yachting experience."
As you might expect, the Wajer 77 cuts no corners. It features 3000 horsepower courtesy of triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 diesel engines with only 260 hours on them. The 77 also has a top speed of 37 knots (42 mph) on her all-aluminum hull. The exterior was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design while the high-performance planing hull was designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. She offers a range of about 400 nautical miles.
Other perks include a Cummins diesel generator, joystick steering, radar, FLIR night vision, onboard WiFi, underwater lights, satellite tv, and a searchlight. She carries an LOA of 76'11" (23.45 meters) with a 19'2" beam (5.8 m) and a 5'9" draught (1.8 m).
Below deck are three full cabins -- the enormous master suite at midships measures 16'5" wide with 7'9" of headroom, plus a junior suite with a double bed, a portside guest cabin with both a queen size and single bed, and a separate crew cabin that sleeps two. Each suite includes its own shower and head. A full galley with lounge uses a minimalist design incorporating a white interior with dark wood accents. A coffee bar next to the galley offers impressive sea views. Up top is spacious circular deck seating with large sofas and an al fresco dining area for outdoor meals with a view.
Some of the more impressive tech includes an auto-calibrating anchor to calculate the length of chain needed, a fender inflation system that auto-inflates and deflates for faster storage, a deck-cooling system that prevents excess heat on your feet during high temperatures, and an electronic wheelhouse roof that expands and contracts depending on your preferred airflow. There is also storage for watertoys like Seabobs, paddleboards, and diving gear, as well as a Williams 325 Jet Tender for excursions to shore.
It's worth noting that a new Wajer 77 runs about $6 million USD, so there's a premium to be paid to own a piece of boating (and football) history.
