Zodiac teased two big design announcements for 2021 in a brief press release, and it appears the French-based inflatable manufacturer will be looking to shore up their short-length offerings with several new concepts.
Earlier in 2020, Zodiac released their largest model to date, the flagship Medline 9. As the tide now rolls into 2021, the company has announced a compact addition to the same series, the all-new Medline 6.8. The new 6.8 will replace the existing Medline 660, and will offer the smallest of three choices in the Medline series, the 6.8, the 7.5, and the 9. The first units of the new Medline 6.8 are expected to ship in spring 2021.
Zodiac also announced their smallest series of boats to date, the all-new 'Mini Open' lineup. The new Mini Open series will consist of 3.1, 3.4, 4.2, and 4.8 metre lengths and are designed to be user friendly in all capacities. The small vessels will make for easy storage and transport, provide a simple platform for towing, and will have straightforward controls for operation. The Mini Opens will compliment the existing Open series that is currently offered in 5.5, 6.5, and 7 metre lengths. The 3.1 and 3.4 models will carry a max horsepower rating of 25 hp, while the midsize 4.2 will handle up to 60 hp, and the larger 4.8 handling up to 75 hp.
